We need your help

Our events and community projects happen because volunteers make them happen. Whether you have professional skills to share or simply want to lend a hand, there’s a place for you on our team. If you enjoy working with good people and supporting Ukrainian culture in Atlantic Canada, we’d love to hear from you.

What we offer

Volunteering is a great way to build connections, gain experience, and contribute to your community. If you’re new to Canada, volunteering can also help you develop professional experience and learn more about Canadian workplaces and culture. We can provide an official volunteer recognition letter detailing your contributions and hours with our registered non-profit organization.

Roles

Board Members

As a working board, our Board Members provide both governance and hands-on leadership for the organization. In addition to guiding the association’s direction and overseeing operations, board members are actively involved in planning events, leading projects, supporting volunteers, fundraising, communications, and helping bring our programs to life.

Coordinators

Coordinators lead volunteer teams for specific projects or events. They help organize activities, communicate with volunteers, and ensure everything runs smoothly before and during events.

Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart of our events. They join a team, support their coordinator, and help wherever needed. The most important qualities are reliability, kindness, and a willingness to pitch in.

Training

Before each major event, you’ll have a chance to meet your coordinator, connect with fellow volunteers, and learn what to expect. We’ll make sure you have the information and support you need to feel confident in your role.

Support

We believe volunteering should be rewarding, collaborative, and enjoyable. Together, we support Ukrainian culture, build community, and create meaningful experiences across Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada.
