UNBROKEN UKRAINE

We are thrilled to report that Barvinok Tour UNBROKEN UKRAINE was a great success and we met our fundraising goal of $50,000 for the medical rehabilitation centre UNBROKEN!!

In addition, it connected Ukrainian communities on the East Coast in a memorable way and brought Ukrainian culture to Atlantic Canada.

Our Halifax concert and local fundraising efforts resulted in a contribution of $35,000 or 70% of all funds raised! Thank you to Barvinok Dance School, to our sister non-profit organizations in QC, NB, and PE, as well as all performers, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, and visitors. A special thank you to Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF). This would not be possible without everyone’s great effort and commitment! Stay tuned for more updates about the project on our Facebook page.

What We Achieved Together

The funds raised directly contributed to medical care for those affected by the war in Ukraine. The equipment is fully operational at the UNBROKEN rehabilitation centre, where 665 patients (about 95 per month) have received specialized neuro-ophthalmological rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries and war-related conditions since October 2025.

We thank Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Ukrainian organizations in Atlantic Canada who hosted the tour, and all local performers, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees for supporting this important cause!

Special thanks the Canadian Ukrainian Foundation (CUF) for supporting fundraising coordination and engagement with medical expertise, and Dr. Chrystyna Rakoczy for overseeing equipment selection and purchasing.
